KidZone is a great web site funded by the National Wildlife Federation (NWF) that has fun resources and information for all kids to learn about nature.

Aquarium of the Pacific is one of our favorite places to go with the kids. Located in Long Beach, California the amazing Aquarium Of The Pacific has fish and other marine wildlife from all over the world. You can even get there by train from Downtown Los Angeles.

The Sierra Club is well worth joining. They not only a great organization to meet like-minded people who love the great outdoors but they also keep a watchful eye on all environmental concerns.

The California State Parks Foundation help advocate the funding and protection of the resources that help California's state parks thrive. Check out David's article on the kids page.

Earth 911 provides information on everything from recycling, hazardous waste, cell phone and computer recycling, and green shopping tips. They have developed a lesson plan for The Day the Trash Came out to Play to help teachers extend the effectiveness of the book. There is information on local services by zip code nationally. There is also an educational section for kids and teachers. On this site they have activities, games, contests and even recommend books by grade level and a list of links for both kids and teachers.

Earthday Org -Link to locate an earthday event near you. Earthday is April 22nd but the events take place throughout the month.
