Ezra's Tips are helpful ways for you to make a difference

Problem: Six-pack holders are a huge problem; they can wash down storm drains and end up in the ocean. Once in the water six-pack rings become invisible to animals. Gulls and other sea birds can catch one loop around their necks and strangle themselves. Young seals also get the rings caught around their necks. When they grow, the ring will tighten suffocating the seal.

Solution: Before discarding six-pack holders into the trash, get a pair of scissors and cut each ring. Always dispose of your trash thoughtfully.

Problem: Balloons are a lot of fun and of course every child loves to let them go and watch them fly high up in the sky. Since balloons and helium were put together millions have been released into the atmosphere. Now the honeymoon is over! A released balloon has to come down somewhere and will most likely end up in the ocean. Turtle's think they are Jelly fish and will try to eat them, choking in the process.

Solution: Please hold onto your balloons and throw them in the trash when you are done. One day, hopefully, someone will invent quick biodegrading balloons.
